Linda greets clients on the phone and as they come into the office. She also has a variety of clerical duties. She comes to us with a background of secretarial and youth ministry work. Linda and her husband, Greg, have been married for 32 years. They have three young adult sons and have recently become “empty nesters.” Family gatherings are a real joy. As one of thirteen children, she particularly loves spending time with her four sisters. In her spare time, Linda enjoys reading, writing, and participating in church activities. She is looking forward to this new phase of her life with Larson Financial Services, Inc.
Larson Financial Services, Inc. was named after our founder's maternal Grandfather, CA Larson. The Larsons' served as sound role models for our Founder, Douglas C. Black, CFP®, while his father was serving his country during World War II.
Larson Financial Services, Inc., opened its doors to clients in February of 1999, with Doug, Jennifer, and three additional employees. Steve joined his father and sister in August of 2000. Our clientele ranges from those currently retired or nearing retirement. Our firm also assists clients planning for their retirement, whether it be 2 years away or 20 years away.
Douglas C. Black
Founder and Chairman of the Board
Doug is a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional, licensed in securities and insurance. Doug has been serving clients in the Kansas City are for over 43 years, helping people protect and preserve their assets. He has conducted hundreds of seminars on a wide range of financial topics and appeared as a guest speaker at numerous investment industry meetings from coast to coast. He is a board member of the Ozanam Foundation, a charity helping Children and families. He has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri- Columbia, and he served in the U.S. Navy, reaching the rank of Lieutenant. Doug has been married to his wife Judy for 51 years. They have 4 children and 12 grandchildren. Doug enjoys snow skiing, spending time with his grandchildren, and walking.
Jennifer M. Cottle

Jennifer is a Registered Representative and is licensed in securities and insurance. She attended Colorado University and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Finance. After college Jennifer moved to Boston where she lived for 5 years and worked in the financial services industry selling financial data. In 1994, Jennifer decided to move back to Kansas City and join her father and Larson Financial Services. She started out in the customer service area and is well versed in handling many service issues encountered by our clients. Jennifer now meets with clients at any of our 3 locations. She has been married to her husband, Mike, for 19 years and has three children. Jennifer enjoys traveling with her family as well as attending her kids' sporting events.
Stephen D. Black
Steve is a Registered Representative, licensed in Securities and Insurance. Steve joined his father and Larson Financial Services in 2001. Steve has conducted investment workshops throughout the greater Kansas City area, and meets with clients and prospective clients in any of our 3 Kansas City area office locations. Steve received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas in 1986, where he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Steve and his wife Christine have three children. Steve enjoys the game of golf, snow skiing, and spending time with his children.

Rebecca is a registered Client Relationship Manager, licensed in securities and insurance. She attended Kansas State University receiving a Bachelor's degree in Park Management and Conservation and a Minor in Business Administration. Prior to joining Larson Financial Services, Inc., she worked for VSR Financial Services, Inc., as an Assistant Vice President with experience in Licensing & Registration, Compliance, and Trade Review. Rebecca has been married to her husband, Chris for 5 years and they have two children, Roslyn and Xander who are 3 and 2. Rebecca loves spending time with her family, cycling, reading and spending time outdoors.

Please join us in welcoming our newest team member, Caron Reed. Caron is a Client Relationship Manager. She is currently studying for her Series 7 Exam to become securities licensed. She attended University of Missouri-Kansas City receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining Larson Financial Services, Inc., she worked for VSR Financial Services, Inc., as an Asset Movement Specialist with experience in cashiering and account transfers. Caron and her husband Michael have two children, Nathan and Claire. Caron loves to spend time with her family, going on family walks and reading.

Neysa assists Doug, Steve and Jennifer with preparing client reports, account applications and processes orders. Neysa has 5 year’s experience as a financial assistant from Hays, KS. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Fort Hays State University. She recently moved to the Kansas City area in 2013. Neysa and her husband, Bryan, have 2 daughters. They keep busy with their children’s activities, church activities, playing with their two dogs, and cheering for their team, The Pittsburgh Steelers.
Margo Duncan is our appointment setter. Margo helps Doug, Steve and Jennifer keep their appointment books filled with meetings for existing clients. Margo came to us with over 30 years in the insurance industry, and 10+ years of sales experience. She has lived in many parts of the country from California to Virginia, but is a native to the Kansas City area. Margo and her husband Chuck have two adult children, and are also the proud grandparents of five grandchildren ranging in age from 6 months to 6 years. Margo is thoroughly enjoying her grandchildren, and spends most of her free time with them.
